A summer holiday in Fowey, Cornwall, gives you the opportunity to create some great memories for the whole family. Lots of families return year after year to enjoy the town, the beach and the walks. The summer so far has been beautiful, warm and sunny and Readymoney Cove is a hive of activity at the moment; the swimming platform has encouraged plenty of swimmers to brave the water (16 degrees already!).
If you prefer to stay on top of the water, why not enjoy a kayak on the river, with Encounter Cornwall or Fowey River Expeditions or take your own boat out with Fowey Boat Hire (found on Town Quay). Cross the water on the Polruan Ferry and walk on the coast path to Lantic Bay or stay on Fowey side and walk round to Polkerris for more watersports activities, lunch and ice cream.
Oh and don't forget that fabulously crazy week that is Fowey Week - entertainment at many venues throughout the town, crabbing off the quay, music, arts and watersports, the carnival and the famously large (and loud) procession of the giant pasty!
