Important Information

Booking a Property

When you have selected the property you wish to book please telephone our office to ensure that your choice is available. Once we have established the vailability for you we will at this stage provisionally hold the week you require and ask you to complete and sign a booking form and return it to us within 5 working days, with the appropriate deposit/full rent. Once the booking form has been received, the booking will be processed and a confirmation letter will be sent within a couple of days. If you have not received written confirmation of your booking within a week of returning your form we strongly suggest you contact our office to ensure your booking form has been received.

Cancellation Insurance

We strongly recommend that Holiday Cancellation Insurance is taken out when booking your accommodation. Whilst we are unable to provide this for you, there are many companies who specialise in this type of insurance and for a relatively small premium it does assure peace of mind. It is important that guests read the terms of our Booking Conditions found towards the back of our brochure, particularly Clause 2 which pertains to the Cancellation information.

Information and Instruction Folders

All properties will provide a ‘Folder’ that will contain various information about your holiday home. You will find instructions for use of equipment around the property, various items of interest and general information. The folder will also contain a list of emergency telephone numbers that will include your Caretaker should you need to contact them during your stay.

Parking and Unloading

Fowey has three long stay car parks. Central Car Park is situated off Hanson Drive, Caffa Mill Car Park, situated at the Bodinnick Ferry and Beach Car Park just up from Readymoney Cove. These car parks are run by the Local Council and a weekly ticket can be purchased either direct from the Council Offices before your arrival or from the TIC in the town centre at a cost of £35.00. (Prices are correct at time of printing). There are two short stay car parks in the centre of town one of which is open only from September to April.

Loading and unloading luggage outside most properties is accepted, however, we do ask our visitors to be aware that stopping for long periods in restricted areas not only lead to heavy congestion on our very narrow streets but also you could receive a parking ticket if your vehicle is left unattended for any length of time. Polruan has two car parks run by the Polruan Town Trust. The main car park is situated at the top of the town with super panoramic views of the river and Fowey. A weekly ticket can be purchased at the car park office at a cost of £15.00 per week. (Prices are correct at time of printing) There are also parking spaces on the village quay and tickets are available from The Winkle Picker gift shop also situated on the quay.
