Deposits

To secure the property you have reserved, a deposit will be required within 3 working days of your initial reservation. 

The deposit required on all bookings is 30% of the total rent payable subject to a minimum deposit of £125.00.

Payments can be made by either Credit/Debit Card, Bank Transfer or by cheque.  Please note when using a credit card there is a 1.5% charge.

Information and Instruction Folders

All properties will provide a ‘Folder' that will contain various information about your holiday home. You will find instructions for use of equipment around the property, various items of interest and general information. The folder will also contain a list of emergency telephone numbers that will include your Caretaker should you need to contact them during your stay.

Parking and Unloading

Fowey has four long stay car parks. Central Car Park is situated off Hanson Drive, Caffa Mill Car Park is to the north of the town centre adjoining the Bodinnick ferry slipway, Station Yard car park is just past Caffa Mill, next to the library and Readymoney Car Park is off Tower Park, just a few minutes from the beach. Apart from Station Yard car park, all of the others are run by Cornwall Council and have a pay and display system. Weekly permits for the Council run car parks are available from either the Fowey T.I.C. (tel: 01726 833616) or Cornwall Council One Stop Shop at St. Austell (tel: 01726 223365). Station Yard car park is run by Fowey Harbour Commissioners and also has a pay and display system. For weekly permits contact the Harbour Office (tel: 01726 832471). There are two short stay car parks in the centre of town, one of which is open only from September to April.

Polruan has two car parks run by the Polruan Town Trust. The main car park is situated at the top of the village and operates a pay and display system. A weekly ticket can be purchased at the car park office. There are also parking spaces on the village quay and tickets are available from The Winkle Picker gift shop situated on the quay.

Loading and unloading luggage outside most properties is accepted, however, we do ask our visitors to be aware that stopping for long periods in restricted areas not only leads to heavy congestion on our very narrow streets but could result in you receiving a parking ticket if your vehicle is left unattended for any length of time. 

 

Bringing a Pet

Pets are only allowed in `pet friendly` properties (clearly indicated in the property description) and by prior arrangement with Estuary Cottages. Pets MUST NOT be allowed on furniture or in bedrooms. Guests must bring their pets own bedding, food and water bowls and be responsible for not only cleaning up any `mess` from garden areas but also for ensuring that the property is clean and free of pet hair on their departure. Pets MUST NOT be left in the properties, unattended at any time.

Standard Equipment in Our Properties

The description of each of our properties is as accurate as possible, however listed below is the standard equipment each property is expected to provide. A colour television, adequate freestanding heaters (where central heating or night storage heating is not provided). In the kitchen, adequate crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, electric kettle, toaster, iron, ironing board, fridge, gas or electric cooker. The beds will have latex or interior sprung mattresses, two pillows per person and duvets, which will usually be polyester filled. All properties supply bed linen and pillowcases unless otherwise stated, however, this does NOT always include towels or tea towels, please ask at the time of booking. Please note, for guests who suffer with feather allergies we strongly suggest that you bring your own duvets & pillows as we cannot guarantee that polyester bedding is provided.

Telephones and Mobile Phones

Some properties provide either a payphone for guest's use or a ‘phone that will accept incoming calls and local outgoing calls only. For those with a mobile phone on the ‘EE', ‘O2' and ‘3' network should receive a good reception in the Fowey area otherwise little or no reception can be gained on any other network.

Internet

Most of our properties offer Internet, usually WiFi, Broadband, connection and are suitably marked in both our brochure and on this site. Computers with Internet access are available for public use in Fowey town Library.
