Appletree House is a superb and very spacious family property with rooms of generous proportions. The property has been the subject of a major programme of enlargement and refurbishment which has been carried out with great skill and attention to detail. The end result is an outstanding example of the very best in modern design providing delightful contemporary living areas. The property stands in charming landscaped gardens and has excellent parking facilities. This fantastic house offers luxury accommodation and if you are looking for something for a special occasion or you just want to spoil yourself then look no further.
Accessing the property from the front, via a slate path, the main door opens into a spacious hallway with American Ash wood floor, and doors leading to the dining room, kitchen, study, shower room, utility room and stairs to the upper floor.
The dining area is light and tastefully furnished with glass dining table, seating for eight people, stripped pine floor, windows to the side elevation and French Doors leading out onto the pretty patio area to the front of the house. The large, modern, fitted kitchen has been tastefully decorated and is fully equipped including gas hob, double electric eye level ovens, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and has a very good selection of crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils. There is an extensive range of work top and two stools at the breakfast bar. A door from the kitchen leads out to the drive and double garage. A further door from the kitchen leads through to a fabulous, very large sitting room with lovely views over the very pretty garden and across the countryside, it is very well furnished and includes three large leather sofas, flat screen TV with freeview and DVD player. Double patio doors lead onto a decked patio area and then on into the garden which has a pretty gazebo, water feature, and an old apple tree that produces three different types of apples (2 eaters and 1 cooking apple) which the owner saved when she landscaped the garden, hence the name Appletree House.
Also on the ground floor is a study, with double futon and has views out over the front garden. This room can also be used as a double bedroom if required and across from the study is a fully-tiled shower room with large corner shower, WC, modern glass sink, and large chrome heated towel rail. Next to the shower room is the utility room housing the washing machine, tumble dryer, boiler, sink and drainer.
From the lovely galleried first floor Landing, doors lead to all four bedrooms and a large family bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a double bed, bedroom furniture and French Doors leading onto a balcony giving delightful views of the garden and across the countryside. Bedroom 2 has a twin beds, bedroom furniture and views to the front of the house and across to the sea. Bedroom 3 has a double bed, bedroom furniture and views over the front garden and out to sea. The Master Bedroom is a magnificent room, large and light it really does have the ‘wow' factor. There is a King-size double leather ‘sleigh' style bed and a two seater sofa should you just wish to sit and enjoy the lovely countryside views from the huge windows looking out over the garden and fields. There is a fully lit, walk-in dressing room with glass shelves and ample hanging space. There is a very impressive, large, modern, ensuite bathroom with double bath, hand held shower, a very large separate shower unit with ‘tea plate' size shower head as well as a separate hand held shower. There are twin wash hand basins, WC and large chrome heated towel rail. There is also another family bathroom on this floor with bath, hand held shower attachment, WC, wash basin and large heated towel rail.
All the bedrooms and the landing are carpeted and the property is centrally heated throughout.
