Tuckers Luck is a listed building with external stone walls some two feet thick and looks out to where the pilgrims arrived from the Saints Way to embark for Compestella.
The cottage is light and airy yet has exposed original stone walls in three of the main rooms. It has been sympathetically updated to a very high standard with attention to detail and is well fitted out to provide a home from home. It provides modern amenities while retaining its ancient character. The cottage is cosy with full central heating, making it ideal for holidays and short breaks throughout the year.
The front door is accessed at the top of the granite steps into Bull Hill. Inside there are three steps down into a small hall and a further two down to the open plan sitting room and kitchen/diner. The Sitting Room is comfortably furnished with sofa and arm chairs and includes LCD TV and radio, DVD player, wireless internet connection, gas-fired cast iron stove. It has an exposed stone wall. It looks out to the river and to the Old Customs House. The Kitchen/Diner is modern with Shaker style units, a four burner electric hob (two halogen), fan oven, dishwasher, food processor, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge/freezer. It is well equipped for cooking and eating, with good quality utensils, crockery, cutlery, dining table and chairs.
On the upper floor, Bedroom 1 has an attractive metal frame king-sized bed and pine furniture. There is an exposed stone wall and a good river view. Bedroom 2 has a single bed with a further pull-out single bed and painted furniture. The panelled Bathroom has a vanity unit, WC, washbasin and bath with electric shower.
The annex provides Bedroom 3 which is on the lower ground floor and is accessed via a separate entrance on Customs House Hill. It has twin beds and built-in cupboards. En-suite Bathroom has a washbasin, WC and bath. There is an enclosed laundry area with washer-dryer and Belfast sink.
