The harbour is always full of interest with ferryboats, yachts (Refuge Court is very close to the Fowey Yacht club) and the great china clay container ships, which pass within yards of the balcony.

Upstairs there is a wealth of natural wood, stone work and beams. The landing has an unusual wood railed ‘minstrels gallery' which is an attractive feature.
