‘Reeds' is a delightful 2 bedroom apartment in the centre of Fowey offering 16th Century charm whilst incorporating modern facilities and furnishings in a more contemporary style. The property is situated above the owner's garden & gift shop ‘Reeds of Fowey' in the town centre and has a fabulous water fronting patio to the rear.
This unique accommodation is situated on first floor level and access is gained via a main front door from Fore Street. A flight of stairs leads up to the landing with doors leading to all the rooms. The sitting room has been tastefully decorated and furnished and includes a TV, DVD player, Satellite TV and stereo system. The modern kitchen is well equipped and includes gas cooker, microwave, fridge with ice box, washing machine and a good selection of crockery, cutlery and utensils. There is also a dining table and seating for four. Bedroom 1 has a double bed and matching bedroom furniture and Bedroom 2 has twin beds with matching bedroom furniture. The bathroom has bath, shower over, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.
Guests have the use of the Owners beautiful water fronting sun terrace to the rear of the property. This has stunning views over the river and has the benefit of patio furniture, patio heater (excellent for cooler evenings) and additional seating. This is an ideal place for alfresco dining, sunbathing or just watching the river and boating activities, and the beach can be accessed from the terrace at low tide.
Babes in arms and children over 16 only are welcome, however children must be supervised at all times, particularly on the riverside terrace as the wall is quite low. It should also be noted that due to the age of the building some doors are original and date back to the 16th century, the floors and ceiling are not level and although this does add character to the property taller people need to take care when entering some of the rooms!
Reeds is centrally heated and carpeted throughout which makes an ideal choice particularly for out of season breaks. There is Internet access and an iPod Dock on request. Train or airport transfers can be arranged if required.
