Stone steps lead up to the front door which opens into a lovely original Victorian tiled entrance and the open plan sitting room. This spacious room with large bay windows has been tastefully furnished and includes an open Victorian working fire place, sofa, two arm chairs, flat screen TV with freeview, DVD player, mp3 sound doc/cd player and a selection of books and games for guests to enjoy. Fuel for the open fire is provided during the winter months.
The kitchen has a stone flagged floor and the benefit of an oil fired Aga which, as well as cooking, provides all the hot water and one radiator in the bathroom. Whilst keeping the traditional theme it has been fitted with modern units and is well equipped, including a ‘combi' microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, kitchen table and chairs and a good selection of crockery, cutlery and cookware. A back door leads out to a paved area and on round to the garden.
Stairs lead up to up both bedrooms and bathroom. Bedroom 1 is a spacious, light room with views across to ‘Place' the church and down to the river. There is a wrought iron double bed with bedside tables and lamps, cupboard with shelving and hanging space, chest of drawers and wall mounted adjustable electric heater. Bedroom 2 has views over the garden, twin beds, bedside table with lamp, large wardrobe with drawers and wall mounted adjustable electric heater. The bathroom has bath with an electric shower over, WC, wash basin and radiator.The cottage garden can be accessed from either the front or back of the property. There is a patio area with garden table and chairs. Please be aware that there a several stone and slate steps around the garden as well as a small pond and a greenhouse with grapevines. Children in particular should be supervised in these areas at all times.
One, small, well behaved dog is accepted with prior agreement only and at a cost of £30pw. Dogs must not be allowed up stairs or on the furniture. Please bring your dogs own bedding and do not leave it unattended in the property at any time. Please see Clause 6 on the Booking Conditions.
