The Red Arrows are coming back to Fowey!

Fowey Harbour Commissioners have confirmed that the Red Arrows will be returning to Fowey to perform their exciting aerial display in the skies above the harbour entrance in 2017. This is great news for Regatta week and visitors to the town, many of whom make a special effort for Red Arrows night, Thursday 17th August 2017!

See the Man Engine in Lostwithiel and St Austell

Take the opportunity to see this fantastic tribute to Cornish engineering as the largest mechanical puppet visits Lostwithiel on 27 July and St Austell on 28 July at 1pm during its two week journey from Tavistock to the western tip of Cornwall, ending on 6 August. Other places to glimpse this fantastic machine are Truro, St Agnes, Redruth, Camborne, Hayle, Penzance and St Just.

As the summer holidays start, we are enjoying lots of sunny warm weather here in Fowey and we look forward to welcoming you to Cornwall for your holiday. From crabbing to kayaking to the walks and beaches, we hope you enjoy exploring Fowey, the estuary and the surrounding area. The new BBC1 adaptation of Winston Graham's Poldark will once again showcase the dramatic beauty of Cornwall. Starting on Sunday 8 March, the series of 8 programmes covers the first 2 of the popular novels.
