Golant

Situated on the west bank of the river, about 2 miles upstream from Fowey, Golant is a delightful small village where traditional and modern architecture mingle together. The Fisherman's Arms is a great place for a drink, and to eat, with tables and chairs overlooking the river. The Cormorant is a wonderfully sited small hotel with, again, superb views over the river. A riverside gallery shows-off the work of talented local artists and the 13th. century parish church of St. Sampsons, slightly away from the village to the north, is one of the most delightfully located churches in the county.
